Maki Games is excited to announce that the Modular Underground Project will be relaunched on Kickstarter this September.
During our previous Kickstarter we learned a lot from the feedback of all our backers and in the past months our team has been working hard to review all the comments and address the critical issues of the old project.
This announcement launches our new blog and we believe the news on the rebirth of the MUP is a great first post!
In the coming days we will reveal the new parts and the new box content.
For those who did not participate in our previous Kickstarter here are some photos and a short description of the product.
Modular Underground Project is a brand new hard plastic terrain to create three dimensional dungeons for 25-32mm games. Players will be able to quickly create a dungeon for their RPG sessions. It also works perfectly for wargamers seeking battle in different settings, since it can be assembled into a traditional dungeon, an intricate set of sewers channels or a combination of both. However we are upgrading all essential parts for the relaunch of the project on Kickstarter to offer all our customers an improved product.
All boxed sets created with this Kickstarter will be manufactured in high impact polystyrene, a hard plastic like the one used in top quality miniature games. We have chosen to use hard plastic because it allows to produce parts with fine details which are also durable and sturdy. This product is based on the original sculpts and design of Manorhouse Workshop. However in the past year the product has been improved both in the aesthetics of the parts and in its modularity. The new system allows to stack floors on top of the walls, giving you the chance to build multi-level dungeons which are more stable than before. In addition thanks to the new symmetric floors it will be easier to assemble walls and to change the configuration of your dungeons without changing the position of the floors.
